How to Use an Online Coupon Code for TV Savings

Using a TV coupon code on an online retailer’s site is an easy way to save money on a purchase. Most retailers offer the discounts for many of their promotions. Sometimes they have different choice of words like Promo Codes, Discount Codes or Coupon Numbers but they all do the same thing; save you money. HDTVs are expensive purchases so why not take a discount if there is one available. Not all retailers use coupon codes but they still offer discounts on TVs in the form of instant rebates. In that case, you simply have to click the link or button to receive the discounted price.

Here is an example of how to use a coupon code for a TV at the Dell website. For this example, we are looking for a discount on a Panasonic 55” Plasma HDTV and found one on the Dell page of the TV Coupon Deals website. Here is a sample of the promotion:

Looks like a good deal. You can save $240 on the purchase with the coupon code. Here is how it works. Simply highlight the code and copy it as shown below.

Once the code is copied, click the link or the Redeem button to go to the promotion page.

After clicking through and adding the TV to the shopping cart, you will need to paste the coupon code in the appropriate spot and apply it. Before applying the coupon, you can see in this example that the TV was originally priced at $1,259.99 and by clicking the promotion there is an automatic $160 savings bringing the price down to $1,099. Now you will need to paste the coupon and apply it as shown below.

As you can see below, the coupon code discounted an extra $80 bringing the price down to $1,019 for a total savings of $240. It is as simple as that. All you need to do at that point is click the checkout button and then go buy yourself something nice with the money you saved.

That is just one example of how to use a coupon number at the Dell site. Newegg, Sony and Samsung all have similar formats to the coupon code or discount process. Online coupon codes are super easy to use to save money on purchases. You can usually find a discount code for just about anything you can buy online so it is well worth the few minutes it may take to search the web for the code. Happy Saving!
